Colts Trades: The Colts have started the rebuild officially. Quentin Nelson and DeForce Buckner, gone. Gone. It's bound to happen. Ed Dodds and Carly Ursay Gordon are not messing around. They are cleaning house in preparation for upcoming seasons. Sad day to see those two legends go. Cube was one of my favorites. I know exactly where I was when they drafted them in 2018. I was at the Mirage Sportsbook cashing in a A big ticket on LeBron and the Cavs, who had just put a dagger in our hearts the night before. LeBron hit a buzzer beater in game five of the first round. I was hedging my emotions that day, and I put a big moneyline bet on the Cavs. Q did so much on the field, Pro Bowl every year. He's gonna be a future Hall of Famer, Ring of Honor member, and we hope he retires as a Indianapolis Colt one day. He goes to the Seahawks for a third round next year and a fifth round in 2028. A Pretty good haul for a left guard, I must say. So for all you haters out there saying we should have got a first round pick for him or Defoe, you're crazy. Because there's no way on earth, no way we get a first round pick for either those guys, especially at the stage they are in the career on expiring deals. I thought we did pretty well. We accumulated quite a bunch of draft capital for this upcoming season. We'll see who's next on the chopping block, whether that's JT, which I doubt, Mooney Ward or Josh Downs. Season a walk here. Ed Dodd's certainly campaigning for his job next year as interim GM, maybe it'll take the label off. But I know Carly will do her due diligence. And this isn't just Ed Dodd's guys. Carly's behind the scenes. She's got to sign off on all this. Hopefully this is the right move at the right time. Get us where we're going. Side note, Matt Painter, coach of the Boilers, signed a amendment to his deal, keep him around to the two thousand thirty one season. So That's great news. And he's going to pass Gene Cady and wins the season. And if he g makes it to the end of that deal, he will eclipse him in seasons, which is just nuts growing up with Katie.
